The BetaFPV LiteRadio 3 transmitter features two silicone gimbal covers that protect the sticks during storage and transportation. It feels very comfortable when held in hand. The primary material is tough plastic, and there is no hint of creakiness or flex anywhere. On the other hand, the front panel has a minimalistic design and has a next strap hook. The latter is the first difference between the LiteRadio 3 and 2SE.
BetaFPV LiteRadio 3 Radio Transmitter Features
At the bottom, there is a USB-C port for battery charging, configuration update, and PC controller mode. The transmitter sports a 2000mAh large built-in battery capacity that ensures up to 15 hours of working time in a single charge. When the battery is near empty, the blue light flashes slowly and the buzzer beeps. You can find a 3.5mm trainer port and two buttons on the bottom. It is also worth noting that the BetaFPV configurator includes two working modes. The native mode lets you configure the drones at the same time featuring BetaRPV firmware. On the other hand, the radio mode gives an opportunity to set up your LiteRadio radio without difficulties.
It is also worth noting that from the main interface, you can choose between mode 1 and mode 2. Mode 1 refers to Japan – throttle on the right. And mode 2 refers to US – throttle on the left. In addition, the interchange of gimbals is also a must.
We cannot fail to mention that instead of these old-school metal switches, the BetaFPV LiteRadio 3 Transmitter features new two-stage and three-stage buttons. Around the power button, there is an RGB LED ring and when you connect the transmitter to your computer you do not need to power it on. Moreover, during charge, the LED turns red and flashes slowly. Finally, the LR3 transmitter offers two inbuilt protocol options -ExpressLRS 2.4G and FrSky.
