It is worth mentioning that both of the gaming phones come with a 6.67-inch display with a FHD+ resolution. And the first difference that we should mention is that the Black Shark 4 features a 19:5:9 aspect ratio, and the Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition features a 20:9 aspect ratio.
In terms of measurements, the Black Shark 4 comes in the size of 76.4 mm x 163.8 mm x 9.9 mm. On the other hand, the Redmi K40 Game phone comes in the size of 76.9 mm x 161.9 mm x 8.3 mm. Storage, RAM and Processor
When it comes to storage capacity, both gaming phones include 128GB in-built storage capacity. Though the Black Shark 4 sports an 8GB RAM, whereas Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition sports a 6GB RAM. The Black Shark 4 sports around 33% more RAM than Xiaomi Redmi K40 Game Enhanced Edition. As we know, RAM shows how much information your machine can handle simultaneously which makes the device faster. So, the larger the RAM, the more powerful is your phone and gaming experience. So, this is another main difference between the two gaming phones.
On the other hand, the Black Shark 4 sports the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, and the Redmi K40 Gaming phone comes with a MediaTek Dimensity 1200. You may think the latter will yield the Snapdragon chip much, but it’s not so. Say, the Dimensity 1200 scores 678,115 points in AnTuTu, while its rival gets 682,907 points. Thus, they are at the same level.
The battery capacity of the Black Shark 4 is 4500mAh, and it also comes with a 120W ultra-fast charging as standard. This will allow the phone’s 4,500mAh battery to be filled in under 15 minutes. So, even though the 4,500mAh isn’t the biggest of batteries, you can charge it in just a few minutes.
At the same time, the Redmi gaming phone packs a 5,065mAh battery with 67W wired fast charging support. So, the Redmi game phone comes with around 12% more battery capacity than the Black Shark 4. With more battery size, the device’s battery can generally last more time, though it depends on many other factors.
In terms of camera capabilities, the Black Shark 4 comes with a 20MP front camera, whereas the Redmi K40 Gaming Enhanced Phone features a 16MP front camera. As we can see, Black Shark has around 25% more megapixels than the Xiaomi Redmi K40 Gaming Enhanced Edition. More resolution generally means better picture quality, though it’s not always necessary.
The Redmi K40 Gaming Enhanced Version has a rear three-camera module, which includes a 64-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The rear camera of the Black Shark 4 consists of a 48-megapixel main camera + 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle + 5-megapixel macro sub-camera. The former looks a bit more attractive. But in fact, both take identical photos.
Xiaomi succeeded in the field of gaming phones as both the Xiaomi Redmi K40 Gaming Enhanced Edition and the Xiaomi Black Shark 4 are strong enough and definitely worth buying.
