It measures 350 x 260 mm and is between 19.9 and 21.8 mm thick, making it compact. The official weight is given to be 2.1 kg, but on actual weighing, it was a bit less: 2.08 kg. Adding to the design element is the diagonal mirrored strip across the hinge with the bold STEALTH logo. The screen opens up to 180 degrees, offering flexible usage scenarios and increased convenience for content sharing.
On the back, it also houses a raised camera module along with a privacy switch, besides a light sensor and microphone. The display employs a three-sided narrow bezel, with the bottom a tad wider where the MSI logo is printed. This 16-inch IPS screen provides a 16:10 aspect ratio, 2.5K resolution of 2560×1600, a refresh rate of 240Hz, and supports 100% DCI-P3 color gamut.
A built-in TRUE COLOR app lets users toggle between different color modes, such as sRGB, AdobeRGB, and Display P3, for different needs. The keyboard is a typical per-key RGB-lit, great to type on, created by SteelSeries, giving both a good gaming look and feel. The laptop also includes six speakers from Dynaudio, assuring very fine quality sound. It is also correctly fitted out with numerous ports, such as USB4, HDMI 2.1, and more.

The Stealth 16 AI+ Ryzen Edition is fitted with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 mobile processor, based on the “Zen 5” architecture and fabricated on TSMC’s 4nm FinFET process. This CPU features 12 high-performance cores and 24 threads, while the maximum clock speed goes up to 5.1GHz, coupled with a 24MB L3 cache. It comes paired with the RTX 4060 graphics card running at 105W for solid performance when it comes to gaming and creative work.
The laptop packs 99.9Wh of cells, and man, did that show in tests. It lasted 13 hours and 11 minutes on the PC Mark 10 modern office benchmark in Quiet mode with Integrated graphics and the screen at 50% brightness, making this one of the best-performing 16-inches out there.
During CPU stress, the processor managed to hold 70W of power consumption with temperatures hovering at about 80°C, while the GPU worked its way to 105W and kept running smoothly at about 82°C. In the combined CPU and GPU stress test, the system balanced power consumption and heat dissipation effectively.
On the benchmarks, the Stealth 16 AI+ Ryzen came out with a multi-core score of 23,947 points in CineBench R23 and a single-core score of 2,050. The RTX 4060 GPU scored 10,466 in the Time Spy test, 6,015 in 3DMark Port Royal for ray tracing, and 98.5% frame rate stability in the Time Spy stress test. Overall, this configuration strikes a great balance in terms of power, performance, and efficiency for such a thin and light notebook.
Office work and Games
Theoretically, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor and 105W RTX 4060 graphics card in the Stealth 16 AI+ Ryzen Edition look great, but how about real applications and games?
Productivity benchmarks on the Stealth 16 included a digital content creation score of 7882 in the PC Mark 10 modern office benchmark, while professional rendering using V-Ray Benchmark 6 saw Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 hit 24,258. The GPU managed 2845 with the use of CUDA and 2921 through RTX in UR Procyon’s Photoshop/Lightroom and Premiere Pro, reaching 9443 and 7576, respectively-high scores for performance in mainstream office, rendering, and video editing.
At gaming, the RTX 4060 is fairly equal to its 140W counterpart at 2K resolution. In CS2, running at 2K with High settings, the game averaged 153 FPS, averaging a 1% low of 73 FPS. Naraka: Bladepoint ran silky smooth, averaging 112 FPS and a 1% low of 87 FPS. In Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 2K and high settings, the game averaged 111 FPS with a 1% low of 82 FPS. Forza Horizon 5 performance was much lower at 69 average FPS, though it did still hit a 1% low of 60.
In Black Myth: Wukong, without ray tracing, the game achieved 94 FPS (1% low at 67 FPS); with panoramic ray tracing, it still did quite well at 72 FPS (1% low of 45 FPS). Cyberpunk 2077 started at an average of 39 FPS, while the FSR 3 balanced mode pushed it up to 62 FPS for a smooth experience in-game.

AI Experience
Both the Stealth 16 AI+ Ryzen Edition and the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX370 processor have AI in their names, so we decided to pit them against each other with some real-world AI tasks.
We used Jianying’s smart matte function for testing AI performance. We imported a 4-minute 5.09GB video and processed it using a smart matte feature, switching to core display mode in MSI Center. The processing of the matte finished in 5 minutes and 6 seconds for Ryzen AI 9 HX370, showing efficiency.
We then conducted the next test: video export performance. We shot the original video at 30fps and chose to export it at 4K/60fps using AV1 encoding. During exportation, AI frame interpolation kicked in to double the frame rate from 30fps to 60fps. The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX370 processor completed the export in 3 minutes and 52 seconds, reducing the file size from 5.09GB to 809MB without losing significant image quality. In the case of smoother playback, the AI interpolation ensured both efficiency and quality.
And let’s not forget the MSI Center, which allows for an AI engine performance mode that intelligently manages CPU and GPU workloads. To examine this, we monitored CPU and GPU usage during two scenarios: First, web browsing saw both integrated and discrete GPUs idle and CPU utilization stood at 8%, spiking to a maximum of 14% when stirring. On the contrary, running a game brought the dedicated GPU usage up to 100%, whereas CPU usage reached around 24% with good handling of the display load.
These benchmarks have shown how the AI engine intelligently doles out resources, optimizing performance depending on what the task calls for, finding an ideal balance between power and efficiency.
