Mercedes-AMG C 63/S 63 Launched in China: Priced From 1.1918 Million Yuan

During the Mercedes-AMG Brand Night on April 20th, Mercedes officially launched the AMG C 63 S E PERFORMANCE F1 Special Edition and the AMG S 63 L E PERFORMANCE, including its inaugural special edition, in China. The AMG C 63 is priced at 1.1918 million yuan (about $164711). Meanwhile, the S 63 and the inaugural special edition are priced at 2.638 million yuan (about $364581) and 2.853 million yuan (about $394295), respectively.

AMG C 63 Design

The features of the Mercedes-AMG C 63, come with the Night Package exterior components and AMG aerodynamics components, giving it a sleeker and sportier appearance. Notably, it sports the iconic vertical grille and sharp headlights complemented by red accents on the front lip, exuding a bold presence.

Looking at the side profile, the car features smoked window trims, 20-inch forged wheels, high-performance brake calipers, and exclusive red side skirt components, adding to its dynamic appeal. The rear features a spoiler, quad exhausts, and an exaggerated rear diffuser, enhancing its visual impact. The car boasts a full LCD instrument cluster, a large central display, and carbon fiber trim on the center console. The three-spoke flat-bottom multifunction steering wheel, along with AMG performance seats, highlights its special identity.

The car runs on a plug-in hybrid system. This system comprises a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and an electric motor. Together, they produce a maximum output of 500 kW and a peak torque of 1020 Nm. The transmission connects to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Additionally, it utilizes a 4Matic+ all-wheel-drive system.

AMG S 63 Features

The all-new AMG S 63, it’s the first S-class model to feature the AMG family’s vertical grille. The fenders also bear V8 E PERFORMANCE hybrid elements. The AMG S 63 inaugural special edition enhances its distinctive appearance with the AMG Night Package and 21-inch AMG forged wheels with red brake calipers. Additionally, these features equip it with a more aggressive stance on the road. On the side, the 21-inch AMG forged wheels complement the AMG side skirts, while the red brake calipers further accentuate the aggressive stance. At the rear, the square quad exhausts paired with a large diffuser emit a commanding presence, reminding others of its high-performance nature.

The new model also incorporates more AMG-exclusive elements, offering light gray and black as optional interior colors. Carbon fiber trim is used in the interior to showcase the special identity of AMG models. Additionally, the steering wheel features a quick-access knob consistent with other AMG models, allowing for rapid adjustments to driving-related settings, while the central screen’s built-in system offers a richer array of driving-related options.

The AMG S 63 harnesses power through E PERFORMANCE hybrid technology, a direct descendant of Formula 1 racing. It merges an AMG 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine, a permanent magnet synchronous motor, and a high-performance power battery crafted independently in Affalterbach. This amalgamation yields a maximum combined output of 590 kW and a peak torque of 1430 Nm. Within a mere 3.3 seconds, it surges from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour.
