iQOO Neo9 Series New Phone to be Launched in April with Snapdragon 8s Gen 3

Today, the tech blogger @数码闲聊站 revealed some details about the upcoming iQOO Z9 series and Neo9 series new phone. The former is set to release globally on March 12, while the latter is expected to launch in April.

The blogger declares that the iQOO Z9 series features a 1.5K OLED flat screen and runs on the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. Simultaneously, expectations are that the iQOO Neo9 series new phone will highlight a 1.5K OLED flat screen and the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor, coupled with a mid-range large battery to enhance battery life.

The global prelude of the iQOO Z9 series revealed that the device would feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chip. It will sport a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2800*1260, a 120Hz refresh rate, a 300Hz touch sampling rate, and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. It’s worth noting that there might be differences in processor information between the Chinese and global versions.

Last December, iQOO launched the iQOO Neo 9/Pro, featuring the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dimensity 9300 processors, and it started at 2299 yuan (about $319). One can compare these phones with the Neo 9 series new phone. The series features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with an 8T circuit design, supporting intelligent dynamic high refresh rates ranging from 1Hz to 144Hz.

In terms of imaging, the iQOO Neo9 Pro boasts the same IMX920 main camera as the vivo X100, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and identical imaging algorithms. It also incorporates Vivo’s latest flagship algorithm, supporting features like floating motion capture. The iQOO Neo9, on the other hand, also features the IMX920 main camera but downgrades the ultra-wide angle to 8 megapixels.
