Samsung Xol Chromebook Leaked: AI Button and Raptor Lake

Recently, Chrome Unboxed, a technology media outlet, reported that Samsung is actively developing a new Samsung Xol Chromebook, code-named “Xol.” What sets this device apart is its inclusion of a dedicated “Assistant” button, a feature not commonly found in current ChromeOS devices. This design element is only present in a few official products like Pixelbook, Pixelbook Go, and Pixel Slate. However, Pixelbook lags in technology, remaining stuck in a state from five years ago.

The “Assistant” button is set to use Google’s Gemini model. Google recently rolled out a significant update, bringing the Gemini model to version 1.5. This new iteration is capable of handling large data content, including videos lasting up to one hour. This improvement is expected to significantly enhance the user experience with the upcoming “Xol” Chromebook.

This collaboration between Samsung and Google on the “Xol” Chromebook is not the first of its kind. These tech giants have previously teamed up on various projects, such as the first Android version of a foldable phone, Wear OS 3, and the integration of Google Home and SmartThings. Anticipate the partnership to produce products for users once again. Samsung’s “Xol” Chromebook will feature Intel’s Raptor Lake processor, likely belonging to Intel’s 13th or 14th generation.
