Realme 12 Pro Series Launched in India: Periscope Telephoto Lens

The Realme 12 Pro series officially launched in India. These two phones inherit the balanced configuration of the Realme 11 Pro series and bring some major improvements. Additionally, this marks Realme’s first digital series model to feature a periscope telephoto sensor.

In terms of configuration, the Realme 12 Pro series features a 6.7-inch FHD+ curved OLED display. It boasts a resolution of 2412×1080, supporting a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The display also offers a 100% P3 wide color gamut, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and an impressive peak brightness of 950 nits. The front design includes a hole-punch screen.

Realme 12 Pro series

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 processor with Adreno GPU powers the Realme 12 Pro+. In contrast, the Realme 12 Pro features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip and Adreno GPU.

The Realme 12 Pro features a 50-megapixel IMX882 main camera with OIS, a 32-megapixel Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with f/2.0 aperture, OIS, and 4x zoom. This is accompanied by an 8-megapixel Pixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 16-megapixel selfie lens. The Realme 12 Pro+, on the other hand, has a 50-megapixel Sony IMX890 main camera with OIS, a 32-megapixel OV64B periscope telephoto sensor with f/2.6 aperture, ALC anti-glare coating, OIS anti-shake, 6x zoom, and 120x digital super zoom. It also features an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 32-megapixel selfie lens.

Both Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ come equipped with 5000mAh batteries and support 67W fast charging. Furthermore, the realme UI 5.0 custom skin, based on Android 14, powers both phones. They come with a 3D VC liquid cooling system. Connectivity options include 5G, LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and a USB Type-C port for charging.

The Realme 12 Pro 8GB/128GB is priced at 25,999 rupees (about $312), and the 8GB/256GB version is priced at 26,999 rupees (about $324). Both options are available in blue and beige color choices.

The Realme 12 Pro+ comes with a price tag of 29,999 rupees (about $360) for the 8GB/128GB variant, 31,999 rupees (about $384) for the 8GB/256GB model, and 33,999 rupees (about $408) for the 12GB/256GB version. These options come in blue, beige, and red (available in India only) colors.

Both phones will be available for sale for the first time at noon on February 6 through Realme’s official website, Flipkart, and retail stores. In China, this series of new phones is scheduled to be released in February, with an expected more affordable price.
