Huawei P70 Art Exposed: Quad-Camera with Periscope Telephoto Lens

As is typical, Huawei plans to update its P series models in the first part of this year. Notably, the blogger @数码闲聊站 reports that the Huawei P70 Art will feature a trio of 50-megapixel cameras: a main camera, an ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 4x periscope telephoto macro camera.

Specifically, the main camera, a Sony IMX989, supports a variable aperture and boasts a full 1-inch sensor, making it the largest in Huawei’s history of imaging flagships.

Moreover, Sony designed the IMX989 sensor with a 4:3 ratio and a 1-inch size, incorporating an advanced four-layer color array. Each pixel has a measurement of 1.6μm, and when combining four pixels, the area totals 3.2μm. This design ensures that the sensor is less prone to saturation and overflow, and it exhibits exceptional photosensitivity.

Lastly, the Huawei P70 Art will come equipped with the Kirin 9000 series 5G mobile platform. Huawei returns to the Kirin 5G platform with this new model, marking its comeback since the P40 series. Anticipation is high for the performance of this latest model.

In the latter half of the previous year, Huawei launched the Mate 60 series directly. The popularity of this series is clear to everyone, standing out as the only high-end flagship phone among Chinese brands that hit the market without a press conference. Additionally, the Mate 60 series has sparked a strong buying interest among consumers. Even now, the demand for these phones continues to outstrip the supply.
