In their official statement, BYD revealed that the “Eye of God” represents the world’s first in-vehicle computing platform entirely designed. It was developed, and produced by an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM). The platform’s algorithms are self-developed, marking it as the first to introduce an integrated vehicle-level sensing platform. This innovation combines both physical direct sensing and software algorithm indirect sensing.

The BYD Hiace 07 EV will come equipped with a high-speed pilot system, boasting multiple driving features. These include lane keeping, lane piloting, lever lane changing, traffic sign recognition, and intelligent speed limit. BYD claims this system can thoroughly learn and adapt to the driving strategies of human drivers.

Recently, at the 2024 BYD Dream Day, BYD unveiled its “Complete Vehicle Intelligence” strategy. Utilizing the Xuanji intelligent architecture, they asserted their achievement in merging electrification with intelligence. The event also showcased a broad range of technologies, including vehicle intelligence, intelligent driving, intelligent parking, and an intelligent cockpit.

The 379th batch of Tenna’s new product announcement catalogs listed the BYD Hiace 07 EV. It made its debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show and will launch in the first half of 2024, with an estimated price range of 200,000-260,000 yuan (about $28098-$36527).

The BYD Hiace 07 EV’s dimensions are notable, measuring 4,830×1,925×1,620mm, with a wheelbase of 2,930mm. As previously announced by the officials, the vehicle will offer two power systems: rear-wheel drive and four-wheel drive. It will feature iTAC technology, use front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension, and incorporate the Yunnian C intelligent damping body control system.

The Tenna has provided additional details on the new car’s power configurations. The two-wheel drive model will offer motors of 230kW and 170kW, while the four-wheel drive model will have maximum power outputs of 160kW and 230kW for the front and rear motors, respectively.
