Recently, TP-LINK introduced the BE5100 Wi-Fi 7 router, priced at 279 yuan (about $39). This router supports new Wi-Fi 7 features such as MLO, 4K QAM, MRU, and leading punch holes.
Reports indicate that the MLO multi-link technology supports 2.4G+5G superposition, achieving speeds as fast as 7.3 times. Additionally, 4K QAM high-order modulation increases the rate to 120%. Additionally, MRU technology enhances transmission efficiency and reduces latency by allowing the allocation of multiple resource blocks to a single user.
TP-LINK BE5100, dubbed the “5G wall penetration king,” supports Xtra Range 2.0 technology. The officials claim that the 5GHz frequency band can increase its coverage distance by 4.5 meters or penetrate an additional wall. Simultaneously, the intelligent encoding method boosts weak signal analysis capability by 4 times, significantly improving the 5GHz signal at the signal edge/dead spot.
Concerning interfaces, TP-LINK BE5100 comes equipped with 1 2.5G network port and 3 Gigabit network ports. Users can customize the port functions, utilizing them as WAN or LAN ports. It’s worth noting that when used with a wireless IPTV set-top box, the TV box can connect to a preset IPTV-specific SSID. Additionally, the router can remotely wake up computers and can be used for computer file sharing, remote desktop, and FTP services.
Regarding security protection, the router offers one-click anti-addiction support, app download, and usage restrictions, limitations on online payments, and the ability to set webpage black and white lists with just one click. These features facilitate the healthy management of children’s online content.
