At CES 2024, Samsung unveiled an array of soundbars, including the HW-G60C, the premium HW-Q990D, and the ultra-slim models HW-S800D, HW-S801D, and HW-700D.

Samsung HW-Q990D stands out from its predecessor primarily by featuring an HDMI 2.1 port. Moreover, it boasts 4K / 120 pass-through capabilities and supports wireless Dolby Atmos and an 11.1.4 channel system.

Furthermore, this soundbar integrates Samsung’s voice assistant and the SmartThings IoT hub. It incorporates several Samsung audio technologies like Q-Symphony 3.0, and SpaceFit Sound calibration, and is compatible with the Roon streaming service.

The HW-G60C, a compact soundbar from Samsung, comes with built-in streaming capabilities and customizable LED lighting. Impressively, it houses four onboard microphones for smart assistant functionality and in-game voice use. Additionally, the HW-G60C offers diverse connectivity options, including HDMI (eARC), USB, AirPlay 2, and built-in Chromecast.

In terms of design, Samsung’s 46-inch long S800D and S810D ultra-thin soundbars are approximately one-third the thickness of traditional soundbars. They blend seamlessly with wall-mounted TVs and support advanced features like wireless Dolby Atmos, Q-Symphony, and SpaceFit Sound Pro, although they max out at a 3.1.2 channel system.

On the smaller side, the Samsung HW-S700D measures just 1.5 inches in thickness and 35 inches in length, making it an ideal complement for TVs 55 inches and smaller. Samsung has yet to reveal the pricing and release dates for these new products.
