Tianma Microelectronics recently declared the integration of its 14-inch 2.8K primary color display into the just-unveiled Redmi Book 14 2024. On November 29, 2023, Xiaomi unveiled this laptop with a price tag of 4,199 yuan (about $590).
The all-new laptop features a sleek all-metal chassis design with an integrated shell. It allows for a 180-degree opening and closing mechanism. Finely sandblast the exterior to achieve a delicate and skin-friendly feel. The screen has a resolution and aspect ratio (2880*1800, 16:10), endorsing a broad color gamut, precision in professional-grade colors, and intelligent dynamic switching. It has earned the TV Rheinland low blue light certification, ensuring vivid and seamless visuals with superior color accuracy. The screen adapts its refresh rate intelligently based on diverse scenes, offering an optimal visual experience.
In addition, Redmi Book 14 2024 runs on an Intel i5-13500H processor with 16GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory. Users have the option to choose a 1TB SSD, with an additional slot available for a second M.2 SSD expansion. The laptop houses a 56Wh battery and comes with a 100W GaN adapter.
Moreover, Tianma Microelectronics also contributed a 1.97-inch AMOLED square display to Redmi’s latest smartwatch, Redmi Watch 4. This display supports a high brightness of 600nit and incorporates LTPS low-power display technology. The smartwatch features a visually appealing four-dimensional equilateral design. Tianma highlighted a longstanding nine-year collaboration with Redmi. Over this period, they have collectively advanced state-of-the-art display technology, collaborating across various domains such as LCDs, OLEDs, and mobile phones.
