On November 29, Redmi officially released the Redmi Watch 4 at the Redmi 10th Anniversary and K70 series launch conference, priced at 499 yuan (about $70). It has a remarkable 30-day battery life in long-life mode and can be charged in just one month.
Design and Display
In terms of appearance, the Redmi Watch 4 marks a significant shift by adopting an aluminum alloy frame design for the first time. Paired with a stainless steel crown, its quality rivals that of a thousand-yuan product. Furthermore, the Watch 4 introduces a newly upgraded standardized quick-release strap, enhancing convenience for removal and replacement. It’s also compatible with straps from various Xiaomi products, including the Xiaomi Band 8 Pro, significantly expanding strap options for the Watch 4.
Turning to the screen, the Redmi Watch 4 features a 1.97-inch AMOLED large screen with a 74.8% screen-to-body ratio. The screen boasts a resolution of 390*450, a pixel density of 302PPI, and a 60Hz refresh rate. Reducing the refresh rate to 5Hz enhances performance, while the maximum brightness reaches 600nit. Additionally, the Redmi Watch 4 offers a diverse selection of more than 200 watch faces, spanning styles such as simple, business, illustration, fashion, science fiction, and mechanical. The smartwatch can transform into a trendy accessory in seconds with its multi-screen display.

Notably, it inherits practical functions such as sleep monitoring, stress detection, breathing training, and women’s health. Additionally, it supports over 150 sports modes, including self-identification of six sports modes: running, walking, cycling, elliptical machine, rowing machine, and jump rope. The Redmi Watch 4 supports the five major satellite positioning systems, namely Beidou, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and QZSS. It has a 5 ATM waterproof level, this device is suitable for indoor swimming and facilitates independent GNSS positioning. This feature allows it to record movement trajectories without relying on a mobile phone.

Regarding battery life, the Watch 4 houses a 470mAh battery, showcasing an ultra-long battery life in all usage scenarios. Compared to the previous generation, each mode experiences an average increase in battery life ranging from 50% to 80%. Specifically, it achieves a battery life of 10 days under heavy use, 20 days in typical mode, and an impressive 30 days in long battery mode. In terms of sports and health features, the Watch 4 has a newly upgraded 4-channel heart rate detection sensor and an all-weather blood oxygen intelligent monitoring chip, ensuring more accurate and effective data.
