Following the Apache 2.0 open-source agreement, Vela offers contribution opportunities to developers worldwide. This strategic move contributes to the development of a technology-led IoT OS ecosystem. Switching to Xiaomi Vela reduces hardware costs and enhances the overall cost performance of the product. Additionally, Xiaomi Vela’s compatibility with POSIX interfaces facilitates the seamless transplantation of existing open-source libraries and components from the Linux platform.

For individual developers, Xiaomi IoT will open modules, extensions, interconnection, Xiaoai voice control, developer community, etc. On December 1st, 1,000 internal beta places will be officially opened.

Moreover, Xiaomi Vela supports a variety of product forms, accommodating a wide range of system resource usage. Developers have the flexibility to customize the system based on specific needs. Vela offers a Kconfig-based configuration method, ensuring that all internal functions of the components support configuration. Notably, more news about the Xiaomi IoT Ecological Partner Conference is expected at this event, and we eagerly anticipate providing follow-up reports.
