Vivo Released Self-Developed Imaging Chip V3, Using 6nm Process

Finally unveiling its mystery, vivo X100 officially announced the powerful chip specifications of its flagship mobile phone at the grand press conference held at the Water Cube. Debuting the Dimensity 9300 chip, vivo actively participated in MediaTek’s chip definition, showcasing its robust strength in chip research and development. In addition, vivo also released the third generation of self-developed imaging chip V3, which uses a 6nm process and has a 30% improvement in energy efficiency. The Vivo V3 imaging chip independently developed by vivo can utilize the multi-concurrent ISP architecture and the second-generation FIT interconnection system to significantly enhance image processing capabilities.

Notably, the Vivo V3 image processing time is reduced by 20% compared to the previous generation, thanks to the connection of the mobile phone SoC. This translates to a smoother operating experience for users engaged in image-processing tasks. Moreover, the V3 chip introduces the first 4K movie portrait video function in the Android camp, offering users a movie-level video experience.

Adding to its impressive features, the vivo X100 incorporates a major innovation—an AIGC algorithm. This algorithm empowers vivo to explore the application of high-quality virtual content creation in portrait shooting scenes. Users can swiftly achieve a generative portrait style when taking photos, creating a more natural and harmonious blend of virtual and real scenes. Undoubtedly, this technology promises a new and exciting experience for photography enthusiasts.
