iPhone 15 Series Sold in China Are All Assembled in China

Apple has officially responded to concerns raised by the Chinese public. The company released an article titled “Convenience Store of Skills Vol. 7” on its official Weibo account, introducing some features of iOS 17. Apple stated: Manufacturers assemble all legally certified and sold iPhone 15 series products in mainland China.

Before this, rumors had suggested that Indian manufacturers might produce iPhone 15 versions for the Chinese market, raising concerns due to similar issues with the iPhone 14 in the past. Before this, Tianfeng Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo posted on social media, stating that this year, iPhones produced in India accounted for 12-14% of the global market share, and he estimated that this proportion would increase to 20-25% next year.

In addition to production, Apple will also involve the Indian side in developing iPhones, marking the first time Apple is conducting iPhone research and development outside of China. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, the decision mentioned above is expected to come into effect starting with the iPhone 17. Of course, it will still be the standard version because the design and development complexity is lower, reducing risks. Stay tuned for more.
