Firstly, it introduces support for LHDC headphone connections. Additionally, it optimizes the continuity of brightness levels, resulting in smoother brightness control when sliding. It also fixes the occasional delay in controlling Bluetooth devices’ playback and addresses an issue where the refresh rate doesn’t change in certain screen-off scenarios. Lastly, it resolves the intermittent problem of wireless charging not functioning.

On October 26th, Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi 14 series of smartphones and introduced a brand-new proprietary operating system called Xiaomi HyperOS. Xiaomi’s founder, Lei Jun, stated that they have evolved Android with their in-house Vela system integration, rather than completely self-developing this system.

Lei Jun explained that Xiaomi has been brewing this solution for the Internet of Things (IoT) business since its early stages, starting the full development of the new system in 2017. Its mission is to create a people-centric, all-encompassing operating system for individuals, vehicles, and homes within the ecosystem.

Lei Jun openly acknowledged the increasing complexity of connecting various devices with different operating systems and protocols, posing challenges for the IoT ecosystem. Xiaomi expects the birth of HyperOS to bring more possibilities to the future of intelligent living.

It’s worth noting that Xiaomi HyperOS is a new operating system that blends a deeply evolved Android with Xiaomi’s proprietary Vela system. It not only inherits the rich application ecosystem of Android but also combines the excellent features of Xiaomi’s Vela system, aiming to create a people-centric, cross-device, cross-platform ecosystem.

Within Xiaomi HyperOS, the optimized and customized operating system provides users with a more efficient, convenient, and intelligent experience. Simultaneously, it incorporates the excellent features of Xiaomi’s Vela system, such as high performance, low power consumption, and security.
