Huawei recently launched the MateBook D 14 SE on e-commerce platforms like JD.com, featuring a pre-sale price of 3,999 yuan (about $548). The pre-sale will commence at midnight on October 17 and is set to kick off the first sale on October 23, 20:00.
The official introduction highlights Huawei’s new notebook with a 14-inch IPS display boasting a resolution of 1920*1200, a 16:10 screen ratio, a 90% screen-to-body ratio, and a slim 3.5mm screen border. The product incorporates an anti-glare matte screen, reducing screen reflections, securing Rheinland low blue light certification, and featuring DC dimming and flicker-free technology.
The notebook features the 13th generation Intel Core i5 processor (i5-13420H) in its configuration and provides 16GB LPDDR4x memory. It supports Wi-Fi 6, comes with a 56Wh large-capacity battery, and includes a 65W multi-function charger. The official claim asserts that “a single full charge empowers 6 hours of uninterrupted productivity.” The product provides a comprehensive array of ports, including a full-featured USB-C interface, USB 3.2 Gen 1 interface, HDMI interface, 3.5mm headphone jack, and USB 2.0 interface.
The Huawei MateBook D 14 SE supports multi-device collaboration. Furthermore, it facilitates wireless connections to headphones, mobile phones, tablets, monitors, and smart screens. This enables seamless transfer of information in various formats, such as images, texts, and videos. Super relay stations can transfer these from the user’s computer, mobile phone, and tablet. This makes it easy to perform batch pick-and-place with a long press and drag.
Additionally, the notebook features a metal body and currently offers only one storage version with 512GB. Whether more versions will become available during the pre-sale remains uncertain.
