The OPPO A18 has officially launched in the Indian market as a streamlined variant of the OPPO A58. It retains the same appearance and chip but sees notable downgrades in screen quality, camera capabilities, and charging speed.
Featuring a 6.56-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 1612 x 720 pixels (HD+), a brisk 90Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 720 nits, noticeable bezels, and a distinctive drop-shaped notch, the OPPO A18 makes its mark on the front.
Powering the device is the MediaTek Helio G85 processor, coupled with LPDDR4x memory and eMMC 5.1 storage. It operates on the ColorOS 13.1 system, based on Android 13.
On the rear side, you’ll find an 8-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth-of-field camera. Upfront, within the water-drop bangs, resides a 5-megapixel front camera.
Additionally, the phone boasts various features, such as a MicroSD card slot, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a convenient side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a versatile USB Type-C interface. It supports dual-SIM dual standby, 5G connectivity, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.3, and GNSS.
In the Indian market, the OPPO A18 exclusively offers the 4GB + 64GB configuration, priced at 9,999 rupees(about $122). It is available in two striking colors, Glowing Black and Glowing Blue, both online and through offline sales channels in India.
