Samsung 990 PRO

The 990 PRO SSD 4TB version harnesses Samsung’s 8th generation V-NAND technology and an enhanced self-developed controller, offering users outstanding performance. It boasts sequential read speeds of up to 7450MB/S and sequential write speeds of up to 6900MB/S, making it exceptionally well-suited for handling large files and high-performance tasks. Additionally, this new version enhances random read and write speeds, reaching up to 1600K and 1550K IOPS, respectively, surpassing the speeds of the previously released 1TB and 2TB versions.

From the editor’s perspective, this solid-state drive leverages Samsung’s 8th generation 1Tb high-density NAND technology and impressive stacking technology to achieve a single-sided M.2 design. This means that users need not worry about the limitations of a double-sided M.2 SSD when installing it on a laptop or causing harm to other components. This feature positions the SSD as an ideal choice for those in need of both high performance and ample storage capacity. After the Chinese National Day, Samsung will officially debut the 4TB version of the 990 PRO SSD in the Chinese market, offering consumers a wider array of choices.
