Samsung Galaxy A05 Series Released: Budget Friendly Phones

Samsung has released its flagship and new FE series, alongside a new generation of entry-level smartphones. Recently, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A05s and Galaxy A05 on its official website in Malaysia, with official announcement pictures and key specifications. Let’s get into the details.

Samsung Galaxy A05

The Galaxy A05 retains the waterdrop screen design on the front and has a larger 6.7-inch screen with HD+ resolution. It houses an 8-megapixel selfie lens in the waterdrop notch, a significant improvement over the previous generation’s 5-megapixel lens. Samsung has released the Galaxy A05 series, with all models featuring a 50-megapixel main camera.

Turning to the Galaxy A05s, positioned slightly higher in the lineup, it also has a waterdrop screen design with a 6.7-inch FHD+ resolution IPS LCD screen on the front. It has a larger screen and improved screen quality. The official website does not provide information on the screen refresh rate, leaving us uncertain if it supports anything beyond the standard 60Hz refresh rate.

Both phones have an island-style lens arrangement and plastic backs, available in black, white, and green. Regarding the Galaxy A05 series upgrades, these phones come equipped with a [50MP (main: F1.8) + 2MP (super macro) + 2MP (depth of field)] pixel three-camera lens. The main camera has an F1.8 large aperture, while the auxiliary lenses enable super macro and portrait blur photography.

The Galaxy A05 probably uses the MediaTek Helio G85 processor in Malaysia, along with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Galaxy A05s, positioned slightly higher, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor and also offers 6GB RAM and 128GB storage.

In terms of battery capacity, both the Galaxy A05 and Galaxy A05s feature a 5000mAh battery and 25W fast charging technology, faster than the previous generation. Both phones incorporate a side fingerprint unlock key for added convenience.
