Microsoft’s Redesigned Xbox Series X: New Features and Immersive Controller Revealed

International media reports reveal that Microsoft is planning to launch a new Xbox Series X Refresh console in 2024. This new console, codenamed Brooklin, will undergo a redesign and incorporate fresh features. However, one burning question remains: What will the new console look like? Surprisingly, unexpected disclosures in new filings from FTC suing Microsoft.

The upcoming Xbox Series X Has USB-C and front-facing power supply capabilities, resulting in a 15% reduction in power consumption while maintaining a price tag of $499. Additionally, it introduces a new, immersive controller.

Named Sebille, this novel controller is slated for release by the end of 2023. It comes equipped with both an accelerometer and a gyroscope. Its two-tone design complements its ability to connect to the cloud, support Bluetooth 5.2, and utilize Xbox Wireless 2. Microsoft highlights the controller’s support for “accurate tactile feedback” and “VCA haptics and speakers,” in addition to silent buttons and joysticks, rechargeable and replaceable batteries, and modular joysticks that activate by simply lifting them.

According to “The Verge,” Microsoft has a tentative plan to launch an updated version of the Xbox Series S in August 2024, followed by an updated version of the Xbox Series X in October.
