Xiaomi 14 Series to Launch in Early November, MIUI 15 Testing

Lei Jun’s next top-of-the-line products, Xiaomi 14, 14 Pro, and 14 Ultra, have been making their way into the news recently. While the 14 Ultra is yet to make its debut, there are already circulating rumors about its introduction date, which may not be too distant from the standard and professional models.

Let’s explore the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. Xiaomi might unveil them sooner than expected, possibly in October or November. This could be closer to the announcement of the third-generation Snapdragon 8. Among these releases, the Xiaomi Watch 2 Pro stands out as the next generation of top-notch smartwatches. Rumors suggest that Xiaomi may reveal it alongside the Xiaomi 14, potentially as early as November.

These products might hit the market before Double Eleven, which falls on November 11th. As we’ve discussed previously, Singles’ Day in China is somewhat akin to Black Friday, providing Xiaomi with an opportunity to leverage the surge in online shopping to boost sales. If this indeed materializes, the announcement will precede the launch of the Xiaomi 14 series, slated for November 11, 2023.

However, it’s worth noting that Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro have appeared in the IMEI database with the abbreviations 23127PN0CC/23127PN0CG and 23116PN5BC/23116PN5BG. Typically, the first four numbers signify the release period, suggesting that both models will hit the market in December.

In the meantime, another “confirmation” emerges, this time from MIUI 15. Xiaomi’s new interface is in its final testing. We’ve seen it in MIUI-V15.0.0.1.UNCEUXM (for Xiaomi 14) and MIUI-V15.0.0.1.UNBEUXM (for the Pro model). Does this imply that the software is on the verge of release? If it’s not an early release, what could account for this accelerated timeline? As hinted earlier and mentioned in rumors, Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro might even debut in China during the first week of November.

Furthermore, it’s worth noting that the GeekBench benchmark library now features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 flagship processor. This CPU has eight cores: one ultra-large core at 3.19GHz, five large cores at 2.96GHz, and two cores at 2.27GHz. In version 5.4.1, it scored 1596 points in single-core and 5977 points in multi-core performance.
