Purism, a company that prioritizes privacy protection, has recently launched the new Librem 11 tablet, pre-installing it with PureOS and promising robust security and privacy features. Additionally, it introduces cutting-edge secure boot technology called PureBoot, which is based on the Coreboot and Heads projects. Furthermore, it comes equipped with PureOS, a Debian GNU/Linux-based operating system. When connected to an external monitor, keyboard, and mouse, it can transform into a fully functional computer.
The Purism Librem 11 runs on an Intel N5100 “Jasper Lake” processor, boasting a clock speed of 1.1GHz (with the capability to reach up to 2.89GHz). It features 4 cores, 4 threads, Intel UHD graphics, 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 1 TB of NVMe storage, and two full-featured USB Type-C 3.1 ports.
With its 11.5-inch AMOLED screen that supports multi-touch, the tablet offers a crisp resolution of 2560×1600 and a smooth refresh rate of 60 Hz. On the camera front, it sports a 2-megapixel front camera and a 5-megapixel rear camera while retaining the convenient 3.5mm headphone port.
