Xiaomi 14 Series Launch in November With Snapdragon 8 Gen 3

Qualcomm recently announced an early schedule change for this year’s Snapdragon Technology Summit, moving it to October. During this event, they are set to unveil the eagerly anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip. This chip is creating a buzz, boasting a formidable lineup, including a Cortex X4 super core clocked at 3.19GHz, five A720 large cores operating at 2.96GHz, and two A520 small cores running at 2.27GHz. It also comes equipped with an Adreno 750 GPU. As a result of the early release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, we can anticipate the arrival of the first wave of smartphones featuring this chip, with the Xiaomi 14 series leading the pack.

Regarding the release date of the Xiaomi 14 series, a prominent blogger has shed light on this development. It appears that the Xiaomi 14 series is now all but confirmed to launch before Double Eleven. The exceptional sales performance of the Xiaomi 13 series has accelerated this timeline. Typically, digital series have a sales cycle of just over a year. However, the Xiaomi 13 series managed to hit its targets in a mere nine months, with the Xiaomi 13 Pro even going out of stock across all platforms.

Furthermore, the blogger had previously unveiled some key details about the Xiaomi 14 lineup. The standard Xiaomi 14 version will feature an “extremely small straight screen” and a right-angled mid-frame design, while the Xiaomi 14 Pro will sport an “extremely large micro four-curved screen” with only slight curvature at 2.7D, complemented by right-angled mid-frame design. Both models will come equipped with a 50-megapixel circular triple camera, a large circular dual-color temperature flash in the upper right corner, and a square Deco design on the back, with lens label information located in the middle of the Deco. Additionally, glossy body versions will be available for both models to provide a well-balanced, three-dimensional feel.

The standard Xiaomi 14 version will maintain a rich array of colors and key upgrades, including the “extremely narrow new straight screen” and a 50Mp 1/1.28″+ upright medium telephoto super-large bottom imaging system. Storage options will range from 512GB to 1TB, with battery capacities remaining between 4000 and 5000mAh.

In comparison, the Xiaomi 13 standard version currently on sale offers four standard colors and eight limited-edition custom colors, featuring a rear 50-megapixel IMX800 main camera (1/1.49″), a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens combination. The highest version packs 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, with a 4500mAh battery.
