On August 25th, Realme was generating interest for its upcoming device, the Realme GT5. According to official information, the device will have an ultra-narrow straight screen with a border as slim as 1.46mm, and it won’t have a screen bracket. The official launch of this new phone is planned for the afternoon of August 28th.
Additionally, the Realme GT5 will introduce a 240W second variant. This version supports over 1600 discharge cycles and includes more than 60 safety features. It has a PS3 fireproof design and can offer 2 hours of usage after 30 seconds of charging.
The official announcement states that the 240W flash charge costs almost three times more than the conventional 100W flash charge. Importantly, this is the highest charging power currently supported by the Type-C.
The statement mentioned a 240W fast charging version and a new 150W light-speed second charging variant for the Realme GT5. It can reach a full charge within 18 minutes. This version will use full-link GaN technology, allowing up to 1600 charge and discharge cycles, suitable for UFCS fusion fast charging.
Moreover, the Realme GT5 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen2 mobile platform. TSMC’s 4nm process forms the foundation of this platform, and it showcases an eight-core CPU design.
The device will also include an integrated super-frame independent display chip, X7. The CPU will incorporate a “geek performance panel,” offering a maximum of 24GB of running memory and 1TB of onboard storage.
Realme recently announced that the upcoming Realme GT5 will feature the “miracle glass,” a product of Realme’s collaboration with BYD Electronics. This special glass, developed over a year, required costly adjustments to production lines. This achievement represents an industry first, encompassing four intricate manufacturing processes.
