On July 12th, the grand unveiling of the Honor’s latest flagship device, the Honor Magic V2, took place at the all-scenario product launch event.
This remarkable creation marks the world’s first foldable flagship phone with a closed thickness not exceeding 1CM, featuring the pioneering use of titanium alloy hinges. Additionally, it proudly claims the title of the world’s first foldable flagship with dual screens that both support zero-risk dimming for eye protection.
Gizcoupon has been fortunate enough to get its hands on this extraordinary product, and now, we present to you the unboxing images.
Honor Magic V2 exterior design
The Honor Magic V2 continues the family’s tradition of luxurious packaging for foldable phones, adorned with a fusion of jet-black and gold lettering, exuding an aura of sophistication and refinement.
The package includes a 66W charger, data cable, SIM card ejector, a guide to the folding design, as well as an exclusive rights card worth 800 yuan (approximately 111.30 US dollars) and a single-sided protective case with a carbon fiber texture and metallic bracket.
Compared to its predecessor, the Honor Magic V2 has undergone another significant slimming transformation. Taking the Gizcoupon-received leather version (in elegant black) as an example, when folded, it measures a mere 9.9mm in thickness, which expands to a breathtakingly thin 4.7mm when unfolded. This makes it the world’s slimmest foldable flagship phone.
Moreover, the weight of the Honor Magic V2 leather version is a mere 231 grams, almost on par with traditional non-foldable flagships.
The Honor Magic V2 offers four color options: Pure Black (PU), Velvet Black (Glass), Velvet Purple (Glass), and Cloud Pink (Glass), all boasting exquisite craftsmanship.
Notably, it proudly holds the title of being the world’s first foldable flagship to adopt titanium alloy hinges, featuring the Honor 0-gear structure and a floating waterdrop structure. Furthermore, it has been awarded the prestigious Swiss SGS high-reliability fold quality gold standard certification, ensuring a seamless folding experience of up to 400,000 folds without any concerns.
Honor Magic V2 screen design
On the screen front, it is equipped with second-generation nano-microcrystalline glass, dramatically enhancing its drop resistance with an impressive capability to withstand rough concrete surfaces.
When it comes to eye protection, the Honor Magic V2 leads the pack as the first dual-screen phone to support 3840Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming. Additionally, it has received TÜV Rheinland’s certification for flicker-free performance, boasting a peak brightness of up to 2500nit, with both internal and external screens supporting a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate.
The external screen measures 6.43 inches, boasting a 20:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2376×1060 pixels. Meanwhile, the internal screen stretches to 7.92 inches, with a 9.8:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2156×2344 pixels. Furthermore, both screens support a true 1.07 billion colors, exhibiting the DCI-P3 wide color gamut.
In terms of user experience, the Honor Magic V2 excels in versatility, with both internal and external screens supporting stylus pens. It also offers a breathtaking Super Dynamic True Color display, providing users with an immersive HDR visual experience for both images and videos.

Under the hood, it is powered by the second-generation Snapdragon 8 flagship processor, boasting an enhanced performance with the X3 large-core processor clocked at an impressive 3.36GHz (up from 3.19GHz), further augmented by a self-developed radio frequency enhancement chip.
Regarding storage options, the Honor Magic V2 comes in three variants: 16GB+256GB, 16GB+512GB, and a pinnacle 16GB+1TB (ultimate edition).
The Honor Magic V2 series also fully supports Honor’s self-developed OS Turbo X and GPU Turbo X, two state-of-the-art system optimization technologies, while incorporating an independent secure storage chip and a dual TEE security system for enhanced data protection.
Based on the MagicOS 7.2 system, the Honor Magic V2 offers a host of intelligent features, including intelligent privacy calls, parallel spaces, Honor documents, Honor notes, and more. Furthermore, the Magic V2 introduces hover support for a more diversified user experience.
