The latest update reveals informant Ishan Agarwal shared exclusive images of Samsung’s latest folding screen models, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, on Meta’s new social platform Threads. The photos incorporate a pen slot in the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s phone case designed to house the Samsung S Pen stylus.
Interestingly, Samsung initially considered integrating the S Pen slot into the folding screen, still due to concerns about the phone’s internal space and thickness. Nonetheless, the pictures showcase Samsung’s innovative approach to maintaining a sleek, lightweight design while incorporating the stylus.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 has a 7.6-inch 2176×1812 resolution inner screen and a 6.2-inch 2316×904 resolution outer screen. Both screens use Super AMOLED technology with a 120 Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy chip, clocked at 3.36 GHz. It offers storage options of 12GB RAM with 256 GB, 512 GB, or 1 TB of internal memory.
The Galaxy Z Fold 5 features a triple rear camera. The first is a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultra-wide lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens. There is a 10-megapixel camera on the front, with an additional 4MP camera on the rear. For extended usage, the phone houses a 4400 mAh battery and supports fast charging of up to 25W. Moreover, the device will have GPS, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, a USB 3.2 Type-C interface, and IPX7 waterproofing.
