Samsung launched the 98-inch 8K Neo QLED TV, model QNC990. The TV has a Mini LED panel that minimizes light leakage and reflection. It offers HDR functions like HDR10, HDR10+, HLG, and Dolby Vision, enhancing brightness, contrast, and color saturation.
For gamers, the TV supports a variable refresh rate of 144Hz and features AMD FreeSync Premium Pro technology. Furthermore, it has impressive audio with 6.4.4-channel speakers, delivering a powerful 120W audio output with features like Dolby Atmos Wireless, Q-Symphony 3.0, Object Tracking Sound, Adaptive Sound+, and Active Voice Amplifier.
It is powered by Samsung’s Neo Quantum Processor 8K chip. Moreover, it uses the Tizen 7.0 operating system. It has features including intelligent home control, voice recognition, and multitasking.
Furthermore, the TV has various interfaces, such as HDMI 2.1, USB, optical fiber output, and RF, ensuring compatibility with external devices.
Samsung has said that it experienced a rise in sales in Japan for its 98-inch TVs, doubling in the first half of this year compared to last year. Notably, the company witnessed a 400% increase in sales in June compared to the previous year.
