Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Appears on Geekbench, Running Android 13

Samsung has recently announced that its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event will take place in Seoul on July 26. During the event, the company is set to launch two new foldable smartphones, namely the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5.

The global version of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 has made an appearance in the Geekbench database. However, it is worth noting that the device comes pre-installed with Android 13, as opposed to Android 14. Both the Z Fold 5 and Z Flip 5 are expected to run on the One UI 5.1.1 operating system.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 Specs

According to a source called @TECHINFO45, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a primary screen with a size of 7.6 inches and a resolution of 2176×1812. Additionally, it will have an external screen measuring 6.2 inches with a resolution of 2316×904. Both screens will utilize OLED technology and offer a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, clocked at 3.36GHz, which is similar to the customized version found in the S23 series.

In terms of its camera setup, the rear of the device will boast a 50-megapixel main camera. A 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens. On the front, users can expect a 10-megapixel camera and a 4-megapixel camera. The Samsung Z Fold 5 will come with a 4400mAh battery, supporting fast charging up to 25W.

Furthermore, the device will offer support for Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB-C 3.2. It will run on the One UI 5.1 operating system, which is based on Android 13. The Galaxy Z Fold 5 will sport a blue back cover and will also have the option of using an S Pen stylus.

Lastly, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 has addressed the issue of the folding gap seen in previous models. When the phone is closed, there will be two parallel parts, and the screen frame is expected to be narrower compared to its predecessors.
