On June 20th, Gizcoupon reported that a digital blogger on Weibo (a Chinese social platform) known as @数码闲聊站 made a statement regarding the first release of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 high-frequency version, which is the NX729S, also known as the Red Magic 8S Pro. The blogger claimed that the device achieved a staggering score of over 1.7 million on the AnTuTu benchmark V10, surpassing all previous records.
When discussing the specifications of this model, @数码闲聊站 mentioned that the Red Magic 8S Pro would come equipped with an active cooling fan and several high-performance optimizations that greatly enhance its performance.
Gizcoupon noted that the achieved benchmark score of this device is approximately 50,000 points higher than the previous MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ mobile platform, which already surpassed the Snapdragon 8 Gen2. Even the engineering prototype featuring the upcoming flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen3 from Qualcomm scored around 1.6 million. Additionally, the Red Magic gaming tablet is at the “top-tier level” among Android devices.
As for the flagship model of Samsung, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will feature a high-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8 Gen2 for Galaxy processor. Refer to this particular version of Snapdragon 8 Gen2 found in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. It consists of one Cortex-X3, two Cortex-A715, two Cortex-A710, and three Cortex-A510 cores. Notably, the Cortex-X3 core operates at a clock frequency of 3.36GHz, surpassing the standard version’s 3.19GHz. The Adreno 740 GPU frequency has also been boosted from 680 MHz to 719 MHz.
Galaxy S23 Ultra Falls Behind Red Magic 8S Pro in AnTuTu Tests
In the AnTuTu tests, the Galaxy S23 Ultra falls behind the Red Magic 8S Pro. But it’s important to note that the Red Magic 8S Pro is a gaming smartphone. Furthermore, its screen resolution is only 1080p+, requiring less graphical processing power.

Moreover, the brand’s sales have increased by 230% compared to the same period last year.
