On May 18th, Gizcoupon reported that Huawei Terminal (@华为终端) announced on Weibo (a Chinese social media platform) that the Huawei nova 10/9/9 Pro would soon receive an upgrade to support the super-fast charging Turbo mode, enabling faster battery replenishment for these smartphones.
Huawei’s Turbo super-fast charging is an upgraded feature introduced by Huawei for its mobile devices. It further accelerates the charging speed when using the original fast charging kit by activating the “super-fast charging Turbo mode.”
Once this mode is enabled, the phone’s charging user interface will not only display the “Max” charging power but also include the new “Turbo” symbol in the position where the “Super Fast Charging” label was originally shown. This allows users to identify the charging status easily. While this reduces the time required to recharge the device, it may also lead to some heat generation.
Huawei users with the aforementioned three models can obtain the Turbo mode by updating their system software. The Huawei nova 10 SE and nova 9 SE will receive the upgrade push starting in late May.
