According to sources Mukul Sharma, the OnePlus Buds Nord 2R wireless earbuds have already begun mass production. They are expected to be launched in India along with the OnePlus Nord 3 5G phone.

The OnePlus Buds Nord 2R is likely a simplified version of the Nord Buds 2. In addition, it has no significant design changes.

The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 adopts a semi-in-ear design with a stem and silicone earplugs. They are IP55 dust and water-resistant. In terms of audio, they feature a 12.4mm titanium driver unit and active noise cancellation of up to 25 dB. The BassWave bass enhancement algorithm ensures a balanced listening experience, while dual microphones provide clear call quality. They also support Dolby Atmos, Dirac Sound, and transparency mode to maintain awareness of the surrounding environment. With a 480mAh battery built-in, they can reportedly provide a total of 36 hours of battery life when used with the charging case. Each earbud offers 7 or 5 hours of music playback with ANC (active noise cancellation) disabled or enabled respectively. They also support fast charging via USB-C port, Bluetooth 5.3 connection, and quick pairing, and can be connected to two devices simultaneously.
