Gizcoupon reported on April 11th, according to a recent tweet by Ross Young, the CEO of DSCC, a screen supply chain consulting company, Apple is expected to release a 15-inch MacBook Air at WWDC 2023.
WWDC 2023 is Apple’s 34th Worldwide Developers Conference, usually held in June. The event enables the Apple developer community to learn about the newest Apple operating systems, tools, technologies, and best practices. Apple showcases its latest hardware and operating systems. They also offer technology demos, labs, and sessions to assist developers in enhancing their skills. These include iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS. In addition, developers can also connect and share experiences with other developers.
The tweet disclosed that the 15-inch MacBook Air’s screen panel began production in February. Furthermore, production increased in March, and Apple placed additional screen orders in April.
Previously, Gizcoupon reported that the 15-inch MacBook Air would be sized between the 13.6-inch MacBook Air and the 16-inch MacBook Pro. This would cater to laptop users looking for a larger, thinner, lighter, and more affordable display.
The MacBook Pro models are available in 13-inch and 16-inch sizes and are equipped with Apple’s M1 or Intel Core processors. The laptops also feature a touch bar above the keyboard that provides context-specific buttons and controls.
