On the Eve of Christmas, Honor released a new top-end smartphone in the face of the Honor 80 GT. It’s a sin to say this is the most anticipated smartphone of Honor, but for gamers, it’s a very affordable option.

The Honor 80 GT has 3 colors of interstellar black, streamer mirror, and light rain meteor. The thickness is 7.9mm, and a weight of 187g. Among them, the light rain meteor adopts micron-level star engraving technology.

Under the hood, this handset houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor (3.0GHz), a full-blooded version of LPDDR5 memory, overclocked version UFS 3.1 flash storage, and comes with a super-frame independent display chip. Due to it, the game frame rate can be increased by up to 100%.

There is a 6.67-inch 2400×1080 OLED flexible straight screen on the front. It supports a 120Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate, local peak brightness can reach 1400nit, and it comes with 1.07 billion colors, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 2160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming.

The Honor 80 GT has a built-in 4800mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging. For simple numbers, it can be charged to 50% in 15 minutes and 100% in 43 minutes. This is not the fastest charging model among all Honor smartphones. But it is still a good option for a smartphone in this price range.

In terms of imaging, the Honor 80 GT sports a 54MP main camera (Sony IMX800) + 8MP ultra-wide-angle + 2MP macro lenses combination. The front lens has a 16MP resolution. The machine also has an infrared remote control, NFC, stereo dual lift, and linear motor and runs the MagicOS 7.0 system based on Android 12.

The pre-sales have already begun, but it will start shipping on January 1.
